  2. Pick a page size

Fit photo makes the page match the image. A4 and Letter are best for printing and forms.

  3. Create and download

Tap Create PDF, then Download. The PDF is saved to your device.

When is a PDF better than a JPG?

A JPG is ideal for viewing and sharing photos. A PDF is a document: it has a fixed page size, prints predictably and is the format most forms and offices ask for.

Turning a JPG into a PDF does not improve the image itself. The page simply holds your picture, so start from the clearest photo you have.

On iPhone

Since iOS 26, the Preview app on iPhone can export an image or PDF to change its format or reduce its size. Formatly goes further: it converts many images at once and merges them into a single PDF, all on your iPhone.
