Common questions
How do I restore a purchase?
Open Formatly, go to Settings and tap Restore Purchases. Use the same Apple Account you bought with.
How do I cancel a subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Formatly.
How do I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
A photo will not convert. What can I do?
Make sure the photo has finished downloading from iCloud, then try again. If it still fails, email us the format and size of the photo and your iOS version.
Can I remove location data from converted photos?
Yes. In Formatly settings, turn off Preserve GPS Location (and Preserve EXIF if you want to remove all metadata). PDF output never carries photo metadata.
Is my data safe?
Formatly converts every photo on your iPhone. Your photos are never uploaded and there is no account. See the privacy policy for details.

The free converter on this website uses heic-to, which is based on libheif. Both are licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License, version 3.
