How to convert PNG to JPG

  1. Choose your PNG

Tap Choose a photo, or drop the file onto the box above.

  2. Set the quality

90 keeps the image sharp. Lower values make the file smaller.

  3. Convert and download

Tap Convert, then Download. The JPG is saved to your device.

Why convert PNG to JPG?

PNG uses lossless compression, which suits screenshots, logos and graphics. For photos it makes large files. JPG uses lossy compression and is the most popular format for still images, so a photo saved as JPG is usually much smaller.

One thing to know: JPG has no alpha channel, so it cannot store transparency. Transparent parts of a PNG are filled with white when you convert.

On iPhone

Formatly converts PNG images, screenshots and photos to JPG, PNG, HEIC, TIFF or PDF in batches, all on your iPhone with no uploads.
