Resize an image
Free and private. Your image is resized right here in your browser and never uploaded.
To resize an image, choose it below, type the width or height you need in pixels, tap Resize, then download the new image. With Keep proportions on, the other side is filled in for you, so the image is not stretched. Nothing is uploaded.
How to resize an image
Choose your image
Tap Choose a photo, or drop a JPG, PNG, WebP or HEIC file onto the box above.
Type the new size
Enter a width or a height in pixels. Keep proportions fills in the other side.
Resize and download
Tap Resize, then Download. PNG files stay PNG; other images are saved as JPG.
When do you need an exact size?
Many forms and sites ask for an image of a set size, such as a profile photo or a banner. Resizing to exactly what they ask for avoids upload errors and unwanted cropping.
Making an image smaller keeps it sharp. Making it larger than the original cannot add detail, so it can look soft.
Resize or compress?
Resizing changes the number of pixels. Compressing stores the pixels more efficiently. To make a file smaller for email, the compress tool does both in one step.
